As expected, it was somewhat quiet at Denison this morning but I did have good looks at a Kentucky warbler and also heard a hooded warbler along with yellow warblers and common yellowthroat. A chat was going thru its repertoire but refused to show itself.
They were also White-eyed & Red-eyed Vireos, Indigo Buntings, E Kingbirds, Baltimore Oriole. Wood Thrush. Hairy & Pileated WPs. E Phoebe & Peewee.
Also saw a White-tailed Doe with a v small fawn—prob just days old but agile on its feet and staying close to mom who had a quite full udder.
Last week I added a new species to my Denison list—Hooded Merganser. I flushed 2 off one of the ponds. I had one a couple years at the Land Lab but not at Denison.
