Not too much around but at least the trails are much drier. Glad the bluebird boxes are installed on Swallow Field—they were put up v late last year. Hopefully, there will be both Tree Swallows & bluebirds nesting this season.

I was happy to see a pair of Rusty Blackbirds—a first for the reserve and FOY for me.

O/w, not much. A few juncos. One WT Sparrow and some Song Sparrows. An adult resident Red-tailed was on patrol. Groups of vultures are gathering over the Denison campus area/town mornings and evenings. Often a few Black Vultures with the TVs.

I have not heard any woodcocks from the bike trail despite checking a few times but I don’t get them there every year.
