Pretty quiet at the reserve this morning. I did see a fledgling Kentucky Warbler well as it chipped at me from some undergrowth. Only other warbler I heard was a Com YT.
Heard White-eyed and Red-eyed Vireos. Also heard one close Scarlet Tanager with another singing quite aways in the distance.
I saw one Wood Thrush and then up in the Taylor Ochs section, I heard a few singing as well as a Peewee. A couple Acadian FCs were calling. A few Cedar waxwings. Number of E Towhees.
Saw & heard a Hairy WP and heard Downy, Red-bellied, and a Pileated drumming. A few days ago I heard Red-headed WPs but didn’t spot them.
Last night I was very happy to be woken up at about 2 o’clock in the morning by an E Screech-Owl calling very close to the house. It didnt linger long and I heard it csll again at a distance. Only the second time I’ve heard one here.
