It was much quieter at the reserve this morning and I really had to work to find birds but I had some success. Warblers were mostly singles being evasive.
A Great-crested FC was calling and showing well. Besides the expected woodpeckers, I had a male Hairy and a couple Pileateds in flight. Belted KF. Small flock of Cedar Waxwings with some juveniles.
Saw a begging White-eyed Vireo fledgling being fed by an adult. Must be a late brood and may explain why they are so vocal still.
Many catbirds. Peewees calling. Two E Phoebes.
Gray-cheeked Thrush perched up nicely. Lovely views of a Philadelphia Vireo. Field & Song Sparrows.
