Hello,
I had a good sighting last evening at about 7PM about 1 mile from my
residence of a juvenile, male Sharp-shinned Hawk. At one point of its
flight,a strong breeze quickly turned it sidewise before it resorted to its
trademark "a few snappy wingbeats and a glide" flight style. About 1 hour
later, I observed a possible starling ball and then a larger, unidentified
bird make a sudden dive near that "ball"-in the general direction where the
Sharpie was flying earlier. This Sharpie was somewhat smaller than the one
I observed next to my residence on Feb.1st @8AM.
