Hi Everyone!

This might seem a bit far in advance, but I recognize how quickly everyone's calendars tend to fill up.  So I'd like to take the opportunity to announce the third annual Ohio Avian Research Conference will be held Saturday, October 17th.

A keynote speaker has been recruited, and location details are in negotiation.  Stay tuned for further information on both.

This conference highlights the best and brightest in original ornithological science being conducted all over the planet by Ohio's professional, student and amateur researchers alike.

Last year's Ohio conference was used as a model by the American Ornithologist's Union for other state/regional conferences .  In fact this past weekend Oregon held its first research conference based on the Ohio model (so for those of you keeping track, that's twice that Oregon has been second to Ohio--just kidding!)

So mark your calendars and stay tuned for more details.  To see information about last year's conference check out:

Thanks and I hope to see you all in October!
