Picked up 4 new birds for the month. Up to
81. Wild Turkey, Yellow rumped Warbler,
Peregrine, and Black vulture. I am missing
So many passerines - both Kinglets, Towhee,
Creeper, winter wren, the list goes on…. Not
Sure what’s going on there. But I got YR warbler today. In two spots! Loads of Tree
Sparrows around. Fernald still had a number
Of duck species. I couldn’t track down a
Green winged Teal though. Or canvasback
Or scaup. More needed species! I firmly
Believe 100 is very doable down here. When
I don’t travel in Jan!

Nice to see both vultures around. They have
Been scarce. I tracked down the turkeys in
Spring grove - Hamilton. Took forever! Then
Of course had a flock in a field in Butler. Well
That was needed for my butler big year!

Mary C. Joined me at a few spots. Weather
Was nice! No wind…..

Our last stop was Ellis wetlands. One small
Area of water on the field. No killdeer….
Where have they gone?!

This monthly birding is fun!

Good birding all.
