Tues. 11/20 9:50am. A Scoter, I believe a White-winged Scoter, was seen at
Buck Creek SP off shore in front of the Crabill House. It was swimming with
Mallards and Hooded & Red-breasted Mergansers. I have a couple very poor
photos, due to the distance, but its shape was evident and it is a very
dark bird with white spots around its eyes and a very light tip on its bill
which are barely visible.
Jeff Peters and I returned this morning to the spot but did not see it. He
also checked the NE Lake Access, but did not see it.
Ebird checklist: https://ebird.org/view/checklist/S50091912 with photos.
