Julie and I saw two Lesser Black-backed Gulls at Buck Creek State Park this
morning. They were on the beach near the south end with the flock of
Ring-billed Gulls. We also saw at least 20 Bonaparte's Gulls and a Caspian
Tern. Three Spotted Sandpipers were also walking along the beach. Other
birds in the area included a Savannah Sparrow, Brown Thrashers, Northern
Mockingbirds, and Chipping Sparrows. On the lake we saw Double-crested
Cormorants, a pair of Red-breasted Mergansers, and a Bufflehead.
