I had a couple hours after commitments today. Late afternoon. Lake Isabella -
Completely frozen. Lake Barber and the Newtown Gravel pits - completely
Open. And waterfowl here, but nothing new. 2 Green winged teal at Newtown
Was different. I am sure their usual marsh is frozen! Fernald is completely
Frozen. I heard Acton lake at Hueston woods is frozen! Wow. I guess that lake
Isn’t as deep as I think?! East fork and Caesar creek are open. Cowan lake in
Clinton county I believe is like Acton lake. Smaller, more shallow. So, if Acton
Lake is frozen…..
Stuff is moving. I want some rare stuff down here!
Good birding all.
