The Swainson's warbler was very accommodating this morning (8:30am). I could hear his song coming from 40 to 50 feet beyond the sticks marking a small "trail". So I followed the sound, and Swainson's was found singing near the main path. It was fairly easy to find him most of the time. Twice, he flew across the main path but after a brief stay, returned to his preferred side. I watched him for almost an hour, then took a walk down the trail to see what else was around. (Parula, Yellow throated warbler, chestnut sided, common yellowthroat, red headed wood peckers, great crested flycatchers). When I returned, another birder was standing on the path and watching the Swainson's warbler. So I enjoyed the views for a short while, then headed to Batelle Darby Metro Park.

Bell's vireo pair were north of Kuehlein Road, another male sing at Kuehlein Rd parking lot.
I also managed to see my first female common yellow throat.
Common Gallinule was in the wet lands
Purple martins at Darby Creek trail parking lot

Bolton Field had a upland sandpiper.
