I also saw a an American Egret yesterday, 3/28, FOY, on my first trip to Magee Marsh in 2018. I did not note the exact location, as I was driving alone on US 2 at the time when I saw it flying over water, between 11 AM and noon, somewhere between Huron and the Port Clinton nuclear plant. Sorry I can't be more precise on the location. I tallied 34 species for the day.

Subject: [Ohio-birds] Great Egret Metzger Marsh

All,

I saw my FOY Great Egret at Metzger Marsh Lucas Co. this morning. A good sign that spring is around the corner.
