I stopped at the Plaza at Chapel Hill to try to record/video the Fish Crows during this warmer weather, hoping they would be vocalizing more than during my last frigid visit.

I managed one really good video, a few not so good, and one good audio recording. Later today, they will be added to my checklist: http://ebird.org/ebird/view/checklist/S41822794

I counted at least 7 separate birds vocalizing today, but it is extremely difficult to count with them moving around, some not vocalizing, the American Crows mixed in, etc.

Also, if any of you plan to go get this tick for your life or year list, please do more than just get the tick. I have submitted these birds to the Ohio Birds Record Committee. I don't know how many video or audio recordings they would like to have available on eBird, but your contribution certainly couldn't hurt. The easiest spot to video/record is from the parking lots of Jared, Chick-Fil-A, Burger King, etc. If you try from the side with the Giant Eagle, Mr. Bulky, etc., you will have entrance/exit traffic between you and the birds in most cases. Today my best was from the tiny Key Bank ATM drive, where I parked behind the actual ATM out of the way of anyone needing to use it. Those trees are the favorite of the Fish Crows anyway, so good spot!

I plan to continue documenting these birds--hope to determine where they roost at night and how long they stay. My suspicion is they are not leaving. FYI, I discovered them 11/14/17.
