In my rather laid back Jan 100 quest, I checked these 2 areas in hopes of finding a couple more species. 100 is impossible but it would be nice to break 80!
I added 2 today, Red-headed WP & Yellow-rumped Warbler, both at Morris Woods. Not much else around except the usual common winter birds. If I’d been able to find a YB Sapsucker, I would have seen all our WPs today between the 2 areas.
Lobdell was v quiet altho a group of crows entertained themselves and me by dive-bombing a flying Red-tailed then set about loudly cawing at me when I ventured near the stream crossing. No idea why that set them off. Did have great looks at a Pileated WP there.
