At our south central Huron County bird feeding station in Ripley Township
(sw of Greenwich) we saw huge numbers of normal wintering species..BUT..the
topper was 18 Northern Cardinals feeding at one time about 1640hrs.
In an early morning blizzard, we saw back-to-back visits from a
Sharp-shinned Hawk and a Cooper's Hawk. Each perched and spent about 5
minutes on site within striking distance of the feeders.
