I wasn't thinking the places I hit would be frozen. But they are!
Because Cowan was open. But thats deep! Just some Canadas
at Lost Bridge. I was enjoying the sparrow show though. There was
a small area of open water right at the edge by the road. The old
quarry area. Sparrows were coming in there. I presume loads
of sparrows around most of the time, but with this tiny patch
of water, they were more conspicuous. Tree sparrows are always
nice. No rarities.
I hit Oxbow in Indiana first. Frozen! A small section of open water.
A Wood Duck was nice. Female.
I went home via the medical area that the Blue Snow Goose was at
yesterday late afternoon. Just Canadas! And I checked other small
retention ponds in that area.
