I drove home to Cincinnati today from Lake Erie. I had a great time
exploring up there! And thank you to the fellow birders I met and
talked with! Good to meet fellow birders and get the local
knowledge. I hate driving long distances. I take many breaks.
Birding areas usually. The new ebird explore function is used
extensively when i travel and bird new areas. Hmmm.... I actually
use a lot locally also. I still need maps to get me to spots. Although
I did manage Armleder the other day with maps not directing me!

Am downloading my redpoll pics as I write. I'll be curious if I got a
shot of the Hoary. An idable shot!

Anyway, I picked a not too many checklists area for Coshocton county.
The Woodbury Wildlife area. It was quiet! But it looks to be a spot
with great breeders come spring. I will head back there on another trip
north. Or east. I want to see the west virginia wildflower show this spring.
I had my lunch at Woodbury wildlife area. Listening and scanning.
No Evening Grosbeaks! Its going to be a feeder for me for that one.

I only picked up six ohio birds on my trip north. I was hoping for more,
but the weather was not conducive to lake watching I was told.

Common and Hoary Redpolls, Hermit Thrush - Havent tracked any down
yet down here, Black-capped Chickadee, Great black backed gull,
and a Greater Scaup at Nimisila Reservoir - my first stop as I drove home.

Good birding all.
