There was a good variety of birds at Mosquito L. today.  Among those found were: 6 trumpeter swans, 24 tundra swans, n. shovelers, 50 gadwalls, green-winged teals, white-winged scoter, buffleheads, hooded mergansers, ruddy ducks, horned grebes, 420 Am. coots, Bonaparte's gulls, common loons, great blue herons, red-shouldered hawk, belted kingfisher, e. bluebirds, white-throated sparrows, and e. towhee.  Craig Holt, Lowellville
