I visited several areas along the Scioto River corridor NW of Columbus, including Kiwanis Park, O'Shaughnessy Dam & lower Reservoir, and Twin Lakes Park. As several people have posted, landbird migration seemed on the wane, even for temperate migrants. Water level in the river & reservoir was very high, and there were few low water areas for dabbling ducks and herons to congregate, so waterbirds were not much in evidence here yet, other than gulls & cormorants. Notables included:

Cormorants - small numbers scattered around the reservoir and even downstream below the dam, perhaps 80 in total

Bonaparte's Gulls - 40-50 in the lower part of the reservoir, the first 'large' #s for this migrant locally

Turkey Vultures - a flock of 75+ was roosting around the dam area, many of them on cell phone towers

Brown Creepers - fairly numerous, with 2-3 at most stops

Kinglets - scarce, with a single Ruby-crowned along the shore of O'Shaughnessy (Area J) and 2 Golden-crowns at Twin Lakes

Warblers - only Yellow-rumps, and not many at that; Twin Lakes had the most with 3.

Sparrows - White-throated & Song numerous at most stops, and Swamp & White-crowned at Twin Lakes

Blackbirds - not much in evidence, with a few Redwings around O'Shaughnessy and a single Cowbird at Twin Lakes
