Quite cold but I needed a walk so I ventured out in light snow flurries. As expected, not much activity but a Carolina Wren scolded me as I watched a Red-tailed Hawk dive onto something. The hawk stayed on the ground for a few minutes before flying to another perch but I didn’t see anything in its talons.

Several robins were around feeding on some berries. I had brief looks at one Golden-crowned Kinglet.

At my feeders just now, I set a new record for cardinals: 14! at once. A few juncos and White-throated Sparrows.
