Julie and I walked the South Charleston bike trail this morning. On the way
back we found the Harris's Sparrow again. It was some distance west of where
we saw it a couple weeks ago. It was close to the large tank at Sunrise.
There always seem to be White-crowned Sparrows along this trail. We talked
to a local resident who often walks the bike trail and he reported that some
birders parked in the Sunrise area and were asked to leave. We always park
in town on the street and walk along the bike trail. It is maybe a half mile
to the area where the bird is found and a nice easy walk. We often see
Eurasian Collared-Doves near town and there are many other birds along the
trail. Sparrows are quite numerous at this time of year. We found a Fox
Sparrow this morning.
