Must have been the 70 degrees and south winds! But at least it was pleasant
scanning the lake. And exploring areas for winter finches. That field at the
Lake Erie nature center still had one Redpoll. New one or continuing? I would say
continuing. They do stick at times.

Cleveland lakefront preserve - i like this spot! But no winter finches. I couldnt
relocate the Harlequin from yesterday either.

Then hit multiple spots to the west for lake scanning. I couldn't find anything
rare, but I love gulls, so had a great time scanning! Best spot was Lorain
Lakeside Landing. I didnt spend much time around the impoundment.
Gulls on the docks to scan! I didn't hear about the LeContes found there til
I got back to my motel. Hopefully I'll get an Ohio LeConte's at Ellis Lake in
Butler! I love that spot for sparrows!

Time to plan my route home for Sat. I will try for that Fernald Rough legged
on Monday. Assuming I haven't left for RI....

Good birding all!
