I was hoping for more migrants this morning. No…. There’s stuff
Around, but not concentrated. No Canada or mourning for me at
Salamander run metro park. 2 Kentucky warblers was nice! I figured
That area had to have some of the woodland breeders. The find
Of the day for me though was a Grasshopper Sparrow! Close
To the trail. Heard and seen. Nice! A needed species if I am to hit
200. I am still missing so much. Salamander has fields besides the
Woods.
Ellis had one Greater Yellowlegs. Not good! And I met the surveyors.
The construction probably starts over the summer……
I walked that dike to the RR tracks. Lots of swampy edges. No Limpkin!
I’ll bet they are somewhere in SW Ohio.
Good birding all. I hope Sat. Brings another migrant wave. That might be it for
Down here.
