I hit here around mid day - not the most productive of times!
I explored the flood plain area behind the main parking area.
Not many birds, but I see many possibilities! For odes and
butterflies also.

I did better late afternoon at Rowe woods - Clermont.
Andrew's and my schedules meshed, so we got together
and he showed me some of the area. Much as I love ebird,
local knowledge can't be beat! Saves time learning an area.
RH Woodpeckers were very nice. Plus a coot on one of the
ponds. Etc.

The Cincinnati hummer was banded today. HY male Rufous!
So at least two Rufous in the state. Super!

Insect notes - those large mosquito like bugs are Craneflies.
And today at Armleder - grasshoppers everywhere.

Good birding all.
