This morning Steve Miller led the Darke Co. Birders to a flooded field in western Darke Co. in what was once called Longtown.  This is at the intersection of Hollingsburg-Tampico Road and Stingley Road.  We parked in the local church's parking lot and watched a feeding frenzy.
shorebirds included(approx. numbers):
spotted sandpipers 2
solitary sandpipers  2
pectoral sandpipers 6
lesser yellowlegs  5
greater yellowlegs 2
killdeer 12
other birds:
robins 
barn swallows
grackles
redwing bb

in the area were also:
quail
dickcissels
song sparrows
horned larks
redtail hawk
com. yellowthroats
field sparrows
crows
turkey vultures
starlings
