Initially, it was very quiet at the reserve. I had a decent sized flock of Cedar waxwings including adults and juveniles. A soaring Cooper’s Hawk was nice as well as a Baltimore oriole lit up by the sun as it flew across a field. Field and song sparrows as well as a couple tree swallows. I could only find one warbler, American redstart. Catbirds and White-eyed Vireos were calling. A group of E Bluebirds.

On my way out, I ran into a small mixed flock. For warblers, I picked up a couple more redstarts as well as black throated green and 2 Tennessee warblers. There was also a blue gray gnatcatcher in the flock as well as red eyed vireos.
