Fellow birders,

The response to my weekend birding challenge was quite underwhelming, with only five people responding. Best among those was Robert Evans of muskingum County. It should probably be noted that both of us measure our “yards” in acres, including woodlands, pastures, prairies and ponds.
When two black vultures flew over on Sunday and two barred owls called in the evening, that brought my total to 32, a very nice weekend. While no one beat that, thanks to the five that sent their numbers. I will send Robert some woodworking, anyway.
