A chilly trip to this southeast Columbus MetroPark found lots of birds
around the trail feeders and Nature Center feeders. Included among the
many birds there were

Raptors - Red-shouldered calling in Ash Grove picnic area, while a pair of
Red-tails was stalking the feeders at the Nature Center. At least 2 Barred
Owls were reported from the Maple Loop Trail.

woodpeckers - loads of common species, but nothing very unusual.

E.Bluebirds - small flock in the forest looking for shrub fruits

Yellow-rumped Warblers - 2-3 around the Nature Center, where there were
many poison ivy vines with berries

E.Towhees - good #s, with 6-7 along the trails and around the feeders

Sparrows - Lots of White-throats around the different feeders were
enlivened by Tree Sparrows (2 at Nature Center feeders), Swamp Sparrow (1
at Nature Center feeders), and 2 Fox Sparrows (at loop trail feeders)

Blackbirds - not much, but did have a Grackle along the trail and a cowbird
at the Nature Center feeders.
