I frequently bird the OSU campus (Columbus, OH) this time of year. It appears that the rain has caused some birds to drop out from migration. There was MUCH more bird activity (as compared to the last few days) in the Mirror Lake area including my first of year Ovenbird. According to eBird, it looks like one of the first few spotted in the state during migration thus far this year. And surprisingly I haven’t seen/heard any sign of yellow-throated warbler in that part of campus.

Birds were pretty quite but very mobile.

Curious to hear about other reports around the state for today.

Good Birding!
