I went to Delaware State Park to see if the Willets hung around. Jack
should have mentioned that the parking lot to the beach is closed, it
felt like a good mile walk in there from the nearest Parking lot. I was
there around 10:30am. I knew as I took this long walk that it would be
a long walk for nothing and it sure was. Oh well. I did see and
photograph a few Terns that were there, 2 COMMON TERNS and 5 CASPIAN
TERNS, 20 BONAPARTE'S GULLS, 2 SPOTTED SANDPIPERs, 1 immature COMMON
LOON, and Ring Billed Gull. I heard a Blue Wing-ed Warbler, Yellow, and
Catbirds etc. but thats about it. I didn't look for the other warblers
around the campground. I went across to the Delaware Wildlife Area and
Saw that the shorebird habitat there is mostly dried up, I didn't see
any shorebirds. There were a couple Great Egrets and Great Blues. The
Bald Eagle Pair seems to be hanging around the nest, but I couldn't
tell if they were actually nesting yet.
