Yes! The Sanderlings have been at the spillway since Thursday I believe. I got
The text from a friend saying they were there. Thursday. Joy….. a work day…..
He texted again Friday. Still there. Work day……Sigh. Hueston woods is far for me. 
I decided it was too cold and was supposedly going to be cloudy all day. So
No Beaver wildlife area or Chaparral for botany and odes on Sat. Mary C. Joined me
For a great morning at Hueston woods instead! Wise choice on my part. Those
Spillways are good feeding. Must be for the Sanderlings to stick! Walk the path over the Dam east to the spillway. 

And then the first migrant flock. Right in the parking lot there. Sun was shining. 
Warming edges up. We made a few stops in the Butler section of Hueston woods.
Sticking to edges and successional areas. Finally! Migrants! In good numbers! Some
Movement last night. I’ve decided the black hole over Ohio on the birding radar site is the radar there down. It’s been going on too long. 

We had lots of birds we couldn’t get on well. Moving too fast. Here’s what I 
Am remembering for the predominant species. I can’t seem to generate a day
List ebird trip report on my phone. Shame - I liked that feature. 

Magnolia, Cape May, Tennessee, Phila. Vireo. And then lower numbers of 
Blackburnian, YT Warbler, Redstart, RE Vireo! Not the predominant vireo for
A change! Parula, Prairie. Etc. 

Sanderling, Cape May, and Phila. Vireo are new for the big year. 197. I can do
This! 

Butterfly notes - very “cloudy” today……! Monarchs and Buckeyes around.
