Snow covered fields are quite enjoyable for Horned Larks and Longspurs - 2 
New ones for my Jan. 100 quest. Hawley rd. Is good for field birds. Must be
Good farming practices. I cruise by other areas and see no field birds. The
Birds are on certain fields to feed. They were nicely concentrated from the
Snow - feeding in bare areas on the fields. 

Up to 89! A friend has been urging me on! My cheerleading section! She’s 
Already over 100 for the area she chose to explore. Creeper, purple finch,
Rusty blackbird, cowbird….. who knew they were scarce in the winter?? 
Turkey, barred owl, screech owl, shorties, common Merg, rb Merg, horned 
Grebe. Cackling goose. Ross s goose. Etc. Cooper’s hawk. I have plenty of
Birds that are still possible!

Maybe some year I will include more of the Ohio counties for my Jan. 100. 
It’s fun exploring! I just wish it was warmer. 

East fork lake was devoid of birds. That surprised me. I am presuming from
Duck hunters on the lake. Monday I will hit the great Miami in Butler again.
It’s been birdy up there.
