Couldn’t get out to around noon on this wonderful spring like day! Felt good
To be out in that warmth. Average 55 and sunny down here. I missed the
Kentucky bird club trip. And of course they get a golden crowned kinglet.
A nemesis bird of mine for Kentucky. I think Indiana too. And the Jan. 100!
Oh well. My hearing isn’t the greatest. But I am scanning everywhere.
Picked up Sapsucker for the year. Bramble Park - Hamilton. A local spot
Suggested by Molly - our hummingbird magnet here! Lovely area - a floodplain
Along a creek. Not a river like I am used to. Quite a few red shouldered hawks
Around. And both vultures soaring in spots.
I started in butler county - voa. For the Lesser Scaup. Success! Up to 88.
Kelly nature preserve in Clermont was slow. No Phoebe. Which was reported
Yesterday. Along with Siskins. Stuff is moving! Lake Barber in Hamilton county
Was slow. No creepers. No kinglets…….
Mary C. joined me for part of today.
Nature notes - no butterflies, but I did have some flying insects.
Good birding all. I will chase a county bird Sunday. Or a year bird close.
Won't have much time between church and the games!
