As to the purpose of the listserve, I enjoy learning what people have seen
as the seasons progress. It is interesting to me who is seeing the first
juncos, white-throated sparrows, etc. Makes me aware that winter is coming.
We all like the rare birds, but the movement of birds in general makes us
more aware of the seasons.

I choose not to use Facebook for several reasons and really depend on the
listserve to keep me in the know regarding Ohio birds. Randy Rowe, Wooster
