just as reported by others, point blank view for 15 minutes of a set of
four common redpolls, among the teasel at the north end of the path.
apparently, they leave for a while then return to feed at this spot. viewed
in direct sun, bright red foreheads seen on three of them, one was maroon
colored.

one distant snowy owl and one up close on the breakwall immediately off
shore to the right at the end of the pier by the parking lot.  not quite as
close as the Holmes snowy, but a nice contrasting heavingly speckled bird
here.  no pics, expecting to see several on Facebook (Birding Ohio group)
soon.

also, many waterfowl types in the pond, plus one common loon, and one
greater black backed gull flying by.
