Is it possible to see a Harlequin duck in Northern Ohio? My husband and I
observed a handful of ducks (at a distance) in Maggee Marsh today
(10/30)swimming with some geese. We saw them as you are driving towards the
lake, just before you turn left at the beach. One definitely had a ruddy
side and several white stripes placed where the male harlequin should have
them. We have looked through all of our bird books and that is the only
thing to fit.
