Our team of 5 worked hard this morning to rack up 54 species between East 55th Street marina and Cleveland Lakefront Nature Preserve. Highlights were 17 species of waterfowl (!), a flyby juvenile Black-legged Kittiwake passing east to west off the outer breakwall at East 55th, a gorgeous first cycle Iceland Gull in the E55th marina, and a Northern Saw-whet Owl at Cleveland Lakefront Nature Preserve, packed into tangles just inside the entrance gate, found by an avid Amish group.
