The rain was light, but didn’t let up. And no
Sun - Adams county. So no odes….. the
Lotus show there looked at peak! I love
That bloom. Plan c was to county bird and
And get those numbers up. Brown headed
Cowbird and Bank Swallow! No rock
Pigeon….. 99 for Adams. Life. The Island creek boat ramp looks like a nice area to
River watch in Adams. As I made my way
Home, I just followed Rt. 52. And hit a lot
Of boat ramps! The usual around. I did see
More Baltimore Orioles than I usually see.
Post breeding wandering. My last stop was
The Woodland Mound boat launch - Clermont county. Hoping for Bank Swallow.
No success! But the weather had really closed in by then. The second front of
Storms.
There’s a lot of excellent habitat along the
Ohio down here in SW Ohio. I don’t think
I’ll get any numbers of birds though. From
What I am learning of SW Ohio, the birds
Seem to use the Great and Little Miami
Rivers as movement corridors- makes
Sense - they are more north south whereas
The Ohio here is east west. Thoughts on
Bird movements are always welcome.
Birds take advantage of the reservoirs I am
Finding out. Good habitat if a bird has to
Put down.
I am looking forward to more time up at
Lake Acton is it? Hueston Woods. For my
Butler big year.
Good birding all.
