Took a quick 1 hour hike at Sharon Woods this morning, through the western woods, through the meadow and around the lake (9:30am-10:30am). Lots of activity from usual suspects (Robins, Cardinals, Blue Jays, White Throated Sparrows, Song Sparrows, Red Winged Blackbirds, RB Woodpeckers, C Chickadees, N. Flickers, Mourning Doves, etc.). But I saw 3 Brown Thrashers in one tree, one Eastern Phoebe, lots of Bluebird activity, & 1 Tree Swallow; but the lake was the biggest surprise: 2 Buffleheads and 10 Northern Shovelers (male and female)
