Though it seems like many birds are haphazard, perhaps even lackadaisical, about when they decide to head south in the fall, I may have found an exception.


I rarely see a Northern Harrier near me in the fall. Yesterday morning (Nov. 2) I saw a Harrier. Last evening when I was sorting through planner pages (so that I could enter historical data in eBird), I saw my previous fall entry: November 2, 2014.
