Hi Birders,
In addition to the birds Greg reported
this AM from blocks 66B2CW and 66B2SW,
I can add the following:
Grasshopper Sparrow - 3+ birds in a field
on Larkins Road in 66B2SW
Savannah Sparrow singing birds in both blocks
Vesper Sparrow singing birds in both blocks
Red-headed Woodpecker flycatching from a fence along
W. Jackson road in 66B2CW
I'm not sure what the highlight of the day is. 12+
Great Crested Flycatchers? 7 Kentucky Warblers? Or
maybe all these nice, hard-to-find, grassland sparrows.
Either way, I've really enjoyed the atlasing this year,
and looking forward to closing out these two blocks
next season.
good birding
Tim Spahr
