Windy! Very windy! I had to work this morning. And ended up still cleaning up
Here after the storms…. So my usual late start. There was no way I could have
Made Tyler’s OOS trip here this morning. I headed up anyway just to explore.
Place doesn’t look good for shorebirds. Although that could change in a month
With no rain. I was expecting a flooded muddy mess along the trails - had my
Waterproof boots on. Only the Greene county section was somewhat bad. I picked
Up Shoveler for Warren county. The marsh section looks great for marsh birding!
If I manage to get up there later. I'll be working on Butler. I ended up with half
The species Tyler and group had. Not bad for me, the wind, and the afternoon!
I hit the furnace road boat ramp area at Caesar creek next. Tyler had a huge flock
There - with some needed Warren species. Great just seeing that huge flock!
But I tried once getting out of the car to scope - and gave up that idea. I couldn't
Pick out much scanning from the car with bins. Mostly Lesser Scaup.
Ellis warehouse area was flooded. Just a couple Mallards.
Good birding all.
