A good selection of waterfowl this morning at the East Park:
Redheads
Pintails
Lesser scaups
Gadwalls
Canvasbacks
Ring-necked ducks
Black ducks
Mallards
Canada geese
Following is a copy of the e-mail sent to us by Yvonne Cecil of the
Metroparks with her recent sightings at the North Park:
I just wanted to let you know what I saw last night on my way home from
work at north park. I saw my first pair of wood ducks, there were 3 ring
necked ducks and mallards, great horned owl, I thought I heard a killdeer but I
could have been mistaken, great blue heron, pilated woodpecker, 100 geese,
5 red winged blackbirds and an eagle flew by, flew around the lake for a
few minutes and then headed on north. It was a great night. It was about
5:00.
Good birding,
Ed and Bev
