Light rain early but just clouds after.
At Clear Creek, I had small family Warbler groups foraging near one another and making short calls/chirps—contact calls?: Hooded, La WT, Ovenbird, B&W. Heard BT Green. Also young Red-eyed Vireos. Female Scarlet Tanager. Wood Thrushes still singing. E Peewees, Acadian FCs. Relatively quiet.
Trails open again from valley view. Must have been hellacious storm a couple wks ago given how many v large trees that were downed, many at roughly same angle so maybe straight line winds? Forest has wide open spots in several places. Tulip tree and prairie Warbler trails v different now. Truly amazing.
Chestnut Ridge quiet but many field Sparrows trilling as well as dueling Am GFs with cool aerial displays. More Hooded Warblers. Indigo Buntings & cedar Waxwings.
