I didn't walk the death march with scope along the path that borders
the wet fields. So probably missed some stuff. I just scanned
from the parking area. Still a drake BW Teal.
Not much going the other way either. I was there noonish..... after a dentists
appointment. Not the best timing!
I hit Gilmore next. not knowing about the YC night heron or the bells vireo!
I am fairly certain I had the Bells. Not singing, but the call notes. I couldn't
place it. And couldnt see it. That one escaped me! If not again this year
then next. I have studied up on those vocalizations. Sure would. be nice
this year..... I am going to need a lot of rarer species to reach 250 for my
SW Ohio big year!
Brood X is starting. Saw some of the shed skins.
Good birding all.
