The Surf Scoter is still present at the Island Road gravel quarry just west
of Circleville. Also on the quarry: 19 Tundra Swans, 9 Greater
White-fronted Geese, lots of Mallards, some Am. Black Ducks, several
Ring-necked Ducks, Redheads, Scaup, Common Mergansers, Canvasbacks, Am.
Coots, and about 1000 Canada Geese. Most of the quarry is still frozen.
