Thursday we had an unusual weather day with strong east winds and high water on the island. Some nice bird surprises though!

A fox sparrow scratching in the leaves outside my window.

Two common loons off the South Bass Island State Park.

An osprey flew low over my head and vocalized right on Catawba Avenue near Heineman Winery.
