I went to Marblehead Lighthouse State Park on the eastern tipoff the peninsula today from 1:55 to 3:07pm.  I had only planned to sit in the car and look at the lake where I wasn't seeing much different.  I decided to get out of the car when somebody blocked my view so I walked around counterclockwise the entire park/woods and ended up by the lighthouse.  Then I saw looking straight out two female Long-tailed Ducks that must of just arrived??  I also had one a few weeks ago near Dempsey Access.  Then I noticed two grebes with one looking taller.  It appeared to be an Eared Grebe with a Horned Grebe.  Its profile was taller as its neck was more erect than the Horned Grebe and the top of its head was peaked and bill longer.  The book says the Eared Grebe is smaller but not sure why this bird looked different but that seems to be how it was.  After awhile it was only by itself and not with the Horned Grebe.  Other than a few Common Loons, 10-12 Bufflehead, lone Goldeneye and few hundred RB Merganser flying, two Bald Eagles and 400-500 Starlings that was about all I found.
