I missed the Phalarope but A birder said it was seen 10 minutes before I arrived but v distant. He said he could barely make out any field marks then it disappeared 

I scanned for an hour but there is a hydro boat race going on which had I known about, I never would have made the trip. Thought “boat traffic” was just weekend boaters. 

Saw my FOS Bonaparte’s. Noise & huge wakes from speed boats made it pointless to stay.
