But only one new one for my Brown county list. Ruddy Duck. And just one.
Hmmmm….. i cannot figure out why waterfowl is so difficult in the county!
I headed out there today as I didn’t want to hit botany spots in these frigid
Conditions. I barely managed birding in these conditions…… black Duck,
GW Teal, gadwall, pintail, most other diving ducks, etc. Well, at least one
New bird! I think Brown is going to be my most difficult county to get to
200. For my Sw counties. This was bird number 112. Or thereabouts.
I was going to do passerine birding here, but whimped out - that wind
Was something again today! I don’t like wind…… so I had time. So I hit
Grant lake in brown. No waterfowl. That I never understand. There’s never
Much here. It looks like it should have waterfowl!

Anyway, my numbers from Indian creek - 2 wood Duck, 6 shovelers, 34 ring necked
2 bufflehead, 5 hooded Mergs, 1 ruddy, 2 pied billed grebes, 4 coot.

Ebird notes - don’t forget it will be down starting Tuesday.

Good birding all.
